My Animal Parade Nursery was inspired by a friend and a picture followed by the vivid colors in the nursery bedding.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

Crayola DutchBoy: Talkative Turquoise , Neon Carrot, Crayola Yellow Orange, Faces in the Clouds, Rowdy Rouge, Granny Smith Apple, Froggy, Banana Mania, Treehouse, Crayola Cerulean, Unmellow Yellow.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

We measured the wall in inches then decided how big we wanted the squares then decided what size tape we would border the whole wall with and what size tape we would put between the square rows.

After that we painted the wall white, taped it off with the appropriate sized painters tape and a laser level (this takes a lot of time and patience). Then we painted each individual square, each square took 4 coats of paint. When finished we peeled the tape off. The whole process took about 6 weeks from start to finish.

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

Baby Cache, Heritage Cherry Wood. Bought at Babies R Us

What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

Baby Cache, Heritage Cherry Wood. Bought at Babies R Us.

What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

Kidz Line Animal Parade nursery bedding available at

Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

Window Valance bought at Royal Bambino.com.

Lighting is a ceiling fan/lamp, we already had a built in ceiling night light and the baby lamp was part of the bedding outfit.

Carpet was installed new. We bought it at Wright's Furniture in our home town and matched it to the wall colors.

The wall decor was also offered with the bedding outfit.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

Built in shelving in the closet that is painted to match the walls and colorful baskets matching the wall colors that were bought at the Hobby Lobby.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

It took us six weeks. It was fun but not easy. It took lots of time and patience. Our favorite part was pulling the tape off and setting up the furniture.

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

We did the entire nursery on our own.

What do you love most about your little one's finished room?

Everything but the big beautiful bright squares are awesome!
