Coral and Aqua Bird Nursery

Coral and Aqua Bird Nursery
I was looking for something different and didn't want a super girly nursery. I wanted something classic. I chose to go with Coral and light Aqua as the accent. The Oh The Places You'll Go print came from SweetPeonyPress on Etsy. The middle ornate picture frame came unfinished from SugarGramsDecor on Etsy. The Mirror frame above the dresser came from RevivedVintage on Etsy. I had a local store fit a mirror for the frame as it was $200 cheaper than buying it with the mirror already in it. The Monogram on the closet door came from MonogramsyLetters on Etsy, unfinished. And I changed out the plain white knobs on the dresser for rose knobs that I found at ATG Stores. How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves? Right now there are two baskets holding various items on the floor. I have baskets in my two son's rooms and it makes clean up easy for me and them. Those baskets came from The Container Store and are actually Laundry Baskets. How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part? Overall it took a total of about two months and it was all of the above. I loved decorating a girls room as I have two boys, but it was really difficult because as you can tell almost every single thing in that room came from a different place. Making sure the corals matched and the aqua's were the right shade was really difficult and since most of it was online it was a lot of guesswork and research. Overall, I think it turned out well and is something that ended up being pretty unique. Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do? I did most of the nursery. However, I had a handyman come in and install the ceiling light fixture and hang the mirror. I wanted to make sure that thing was properly and securely anchored. What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room? I just love how everything came together. It's one thing to imagine something in your head, but another to actually see it take shape in front of you. I love how light and airy it feels. That was really important to me as it was a dark, dark purple color before (previous homeowners) and there is only one small window.
