Fun Winnie the Pooh Nursery

We decided to make the baby's sex a surprise. So we needed something neutral. Winnie the Pooh came to us and we took it from there!

What brand and color of paint did you use?
Disney's Bibiddi Bobbiddi Blue and Tinker Bell.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.
We used an acrylic paint(s) to color the characters. We hand sketched them and painted them in a few coats.

What brand of crib and furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?
Simmons, at Clossics in Delaware.

What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?
Kids line Pooh from Babies R Us.

Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?
We had the window treatments custom made by a friend of ours. The fabrics were imported from Hawaii. They are made specifically for room darkening.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?
We use shelves in our closets and the furniture!

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?
About 2 weeks. The hand painting took a long time. Our favorite part was the characters. We love Pooh the most!

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?
The entire nursery was done by my husband. It was his gift for me after carrying the child for 9 months!

What do you love most about your little one's finished room?
That it is still growing on us! We spend a lot of time in the room just waiting for the little one to get here!

I'm always a sucker for Winnie the Pooh - your nursery is so cute. The Tigger mural is gorgeous, he looks like he is about to bounce right off the wall into the room! I love it!
