Jungle Safari Nursery

Our spare room already had some safari theme to it. When we found out we were expecting we decided to keep the theme going, but added some stuff to make it a little more child-friendly.

We painted with Behr Premium Plus-Antique Leather paint.

The crib and dresser is the Sorelle-Vicki Collection-Espresso. We replaced the dresser knobs with Brushed Nickle from Home Depot. The changing table is the Graco Lauren Espresso and the glider and ottoman are Shermag - all from Babies R Us.

The crib bedding and window valance is Tanzania-by Glenna Jean -purchased on line.

We bought the curtain panels and a brown area rug from Ikea, as well as the wall shelf.

The pictures and lamp are from our local mall and my favorite part of the room - the Ganz Monkeys hanging from the ceiling are from House of Bedroom-kids. We bought all the other plush toys from Toys R Us.

We took about 2 weeks to do the nursery but we are still adding finishing touches as we speak. It was fun and exciting watching it all come together. My favorite part is when my husband suspended the monkeys from the ceiling. My husband and I are a good team. I usually do all the shopping and put the ideas together but he usually does all the labor-gotta love him!!!
