Our Magnolia Flower Nursery was inspired by our daughter's name - Stella Magnolia Smith. We have a tiny two bed house and have a murphy bed for guests in the spare (now her room)... we had to paint the bed to become part of the decor. Shelving was needed, and our bamboo crib fit in nicely.

We painted the walls and trim with DeVine Olive and Whip paint. For the tree we used Folk Art Paints. We did the tree by hand. It has 13 magnolias on it as she was born June 13th.

The crib is the Morigeau Lepine from TJ Kids in Victoria. The rest of the furniture is from Ikea - It fit the space.

The crib bedding is a combo of Ikea and KeeKa Organics, in store and online. The rug is a hand me down from Grandma.

The nursery was hard work but fun to do.

TIP: If painting or making your own tree seems a bit daunting, try an easy stick, removable tree wall decal. There are lots of beautiful ones available and they really brighten up the room!
