The lamp shade was made my taking cloth and using fabric adhesive spray to stick it to an already existing shade. This way we could save time by not having to make a form for the shade. We then added the trim using a hot glue gun. The side table cloth was created by cutting the fabric in to a circle and hot gluing the trim around the edge.

The shelf was made by taking an already existing shelf, flipping it upside down, and adding an edged border to it. This allowed us to be able to use it store the changing table items. We then used a hot glue gun to adhere the fabric and trim to the shelf.

The window seat was created by measuring the window area and sewing fabric for the valance and the curtains. We also sewed pieces of fabric to be able to tie back the curtains should we decide that we wanted them open. We next took pillow forms and sewed cases for them. The cases were made, the forms were inserted, and then the cases were sewed shut. This allowed us to coordinate the pillows in the sizes we wanted with the room.

Finally, the window seat bench was created by starting with a piece of plywood cut just short of the width of the seat. We then took a large piece of foam and cut it a bit smaller than the plywood and hot glued it to the plywood. Finally we attached the fabric by wrapping it tightly around the foam/plywood and stapling it to the underside. Since the window bench opens, we wanted to make sure it was sturdy enough for us to use it as a seat but light enough to remove it if we needed to get in to the bench.
