It's mid February 2010 as I write this and I have been with SBI for 26 months.

I started making money in September 2008 when my site was about nine months old. By November I had paid off my initial investment of $299. I paid another $299 to renew my subscription in December and that was soon paid for too.

Everything else I made from then on was profit!

I currently get around 3000 visitors per day which translates into $2000-2100 per month. My traffic is growing every month and with it the income that it generates. (To give you an idea of my traffic growth, last month I was receiving around 2300 visitors per day and the month before that about 1900, so you can see it's on the way up!)

My site is young and so far I have only implemented a couple of the many possible income streams available to me. As I add more income streams, so my monthly revenue will increase. (More about this below.) The important point is that my income is steadily growing day after day after day whether I work on my website or not.

Here is my Alexa traffic ranking. It improves steadily each month. My site already ranks in the top 1% of all the millions of sites on the internet.

My site currently consists of over 430 pages, every single one of which I built myself and I've enjoyed building this site so much that I have already started two more!

There's no way I could ever go back to working for someone else. I'm my own boss and I earn money while I sleep. You can't beat that!

• "How Do You Make Money From Your Site?"

  In the beginning an SBI website will make most of its money from an advertising program called Google adsense. If you look at my site you will see many pages with a block of blue ads in the top left-hand corner of the page. Every time someone clicks on these I earn money.
  
  I also have another advertising program called Infolinks which works similarly to adsense. These are the pink links that you will find scattered through most pages.
  
  At present most of my income comes from these two sources.
  
  I also create and sell my own e-goods and sell other people's products for a commission. And there are countless other ways to make money with your website. SBI shows you how to do all that.

• "How Much Time Do You Spend On Your Site?"

  At the moment I am concentrating on my other sites so I only spend time on this one when I feel like it - two or three hours a month! Between raising and homeschooling three girls and building two more sites I don't have too much time to spare!
  
  I guess that's what I love most about SBI - once you get it going, it provides a passive, ongoing, growing income.
  
  You go on holiday and come back a month later to find that your travel expenses were paid for by the income your website earned while you were away! (That happened to a friend of mine a few months ago and her holiday was six weeks long with 6 children along for the ride!)
